Learning a bit about Beidou3 signals

I have pretty busy these last couple of years contributing to features and improvements to the Piksi Multi measurement engine, but during the Summer I managed to contribute to a blog post on the Swift Navigation page together with two colleagues of mine who I thank sincerely: Michael Wurm (lead FPGA engineer) and Keerthan Jaic (python and many other languages expert).
We studied a bit the signals of Beidou3, which is growing at incredible pace. For the interested readers, here is the link.

P.S.: I won't be at the ION this year (too busy with other things) but I will likely be at the Stanford PNT meeting in November.

Hi Michele. I just came across this article and I have been working with the data set you provided. It also happens that I am developing a BeiDou receiver for GNSS-SDR and I was curious if:
(1) Can you provide (if available) a more dataset with the BeiDou signals?. It has come a long way since you published this and now there are a lot of new BDS-3 satellites. I am trying to compute a PVT with those.
(2) Also in the post, the plot you showed has GPS L2C on it, but the datasets in the original article do not include that, right?.

Hello Damian,

1) I am pretty busy but I'll try. If you want to compute a PVT, you'll likely need some 30+ seconds, which might be a big big file. Please get in touch directly with michele at swiftnav dot com.. we might be able to communicate faster that way.
2) the picture is from Piksi Multi real-time tracking, which has little to do with the dataset we grabbed indeed.
